Make a Buddha without……

Imagine you don’t have an FM radio.

Someone offers you one for free.

But there are no FM radio stations you can receive in your area…

Would you take this radio?

The same can be said for the “Morse vibration adapter” I’m making.

Even if Morse code is converted into vibrations, you might think, “Oh, these meaningful-looking codes are coming out of the vibrations. Hmm, what on earth are these codes saying?”

This is a reflection of the pure curiosity I had when I first received shortwave broadcasts over 50 years ago.    As the saying goes, “make a Buddha without putting a soul in it.” or “Never leave the body without the soul.”

So I’ve created contents for deafblind people who have got a Morse vibration adapter and a smartphone, meaning they’re thinking, “I’ve connected it and can connect to the internet, but now what?”

I’ve prepared several 6-WPM Morse code messages using daily news headlines (in English and Japanese).   However, because they’re extremely low at 300Hz and have unusually long spacing between characters, even those who know Morse code are guaranteed to fall asleep after listening to them for 10 seconds!

While this may be useful for memorization or beginner practice…. it’s not something I’ve considered (Hi!).

Thank you for your understanding.
