The 3D pen “3-doodler start+” arrived by courier. As it is an educational toy, it looks fun just looking at the seven colorful incense-shaped cartridges. It seems to work well, so I tried writing Morse code right away. It was a little sticky, but it made a whirring sound and the pigment, like noodles like Japanese Hakata Ramen, came out in waves.
After getting used to it, I was able to get the timing right to turn the switch on and off and successfully write Morse code. The convex pigment that hardened on the paper was also solid. However… This material is a substance that softens at low temperatures, a bit like wax, and is slightly oily, so it doesn’t seem to adhere well to paper…or rather, it seems that the fact that it doesn’t adhere like this is its characteristic.
At first I was a little disappointed, but I thought it might be possible to use it as a “touch circuit diagram” like in the photo, so I’ll keep this 3D pen as a toy until then.
I’d like to try looking for something a little better.
